His music has been described as "cinematic" by the New York Classical Review. He primarily composes concert works for large ensembles and chamber ensembles, but has also written for soloists. Jason's work is driven by a love for story-telling and a genuine interest in the stories of others. Many of his works are programmatic to varying degrees based on his own experiences and shared human experiences.
Jason's works have been performed at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ, as well as at le Poisson Rouge in New York City, NY.
In 2023, Jason completed a Bachelor of Music in Composition at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ, where he studied with Dr. Melissa Dunphy and Dr. Scott Ordway. He is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Music Composition at the University of Georgia, where he is studying with Dr. Peter Van Zandt Lane.
